Cozy Cabin

Cozy two bedroom cabin with unobstructed views of the mountains. On the back deck there is a hot tub and a gas grill. Near Big South Fork and Historic Rugby. 3 mile hike from the cabin to the river round-trip. Or drive to the trailhead and hike half a mile to the river. Come here to unwind and de-stress. Totally peaceful :-) My favorite time of year is winter at the cabin. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the frosty trees and mountains!

Enjoy a peaceful escape. This newly built cabin with all the modern features is located in historic Stearns, KY. Surrounded by trees and overlooking a beautiful pasture, visitors can relax and enjoy the Big South Fork and Daniel Boone National Forest hiking and horseback riding trails, kayaking, and Cumberland Falls scenic attractions. Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
