The Tiny: Off-Grid Microcabin (NEW!)

Come stay on this small .3 acre lot in a tiny A-Frame (100 square feet) in the Red River Gorge! Because big things come in small packages, and sometimes less is more. With a large deck, outdoor cooking area, and composting toilet, you'll enjoy the off-grid lifestyle. The Tiny has easy access to the Red River Gorge area for hiking and climbing. This cabin does not have running water or electricity. I am still adding to my tiny cabin! At this time I cannot accommodate pets, kids, or campfires.

Since your tent has power, AC, a long list of amenities, like towels and bedding, all you have to do is show up! Snag the hammock, kick back and relax.

The living area includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and comfortable furniture to enjoy a smart tv and fireplace. A King bed and full bath on the main floor. The loft has a queen bed. Dotti is our smallest offering, but has TONS of charm. Including a large covered patio with a swing bed! Please note Dotti does not have hot water. This mermaid themed, boatel is located in a beautiful setting in a cove off the Ohio River. Drive to nearby towns and visit antique shops and restaurants in Vevay and Madison, Indiana. Clifty Falls is a great place to hike. Beltera Casino Resort is down the street and the marina is also close to Rising Sun, Hollywood Casino, and Sunset Grill on the water in Warsaw, Kentucky. Conveniently located close to The Neeley Family Distillery. Some have visited the Ark while staying here also.

Fish, kayak, or swim; hike or birdwatch in a nearby preserve; read, write, find inspiration. With sweet-smelling poplar walls, the cabin offers a full bed by a picture window, small TV, writer's desk/library, AC, fans, baseboard heat, kitchenette, toilet, sink, outdoor shower (before first frost), small porch, grill, and a fire pit. (No wifi in cabin!) Simple and beautiful.

You notice the Amish craftsmanship as soon as you arrive. You are surrounded by 80 acres of manicured woods and a huge yard. The environment is welcoming. The atmosphere is warm. Call it your home for a night or for an extended stay. It is beautiful no matter the time of year.

This is the perfect couples getaway! Arrive with everything you need for a few days then take a deep breath. On exhale everything not directly related to the river is turned off. Then mix and match the following activities on repeat….river and critter watching, drinks/cuddling by the fire, hot tubing, snuggling, napping, snacking, streaming...occasionally throw in some fishing, kayaking, and open fire cooking on the cast iron cookware.
