Wine/Apple Country Cottage, Centrally Located

Play golden oldies on an upright piano in a home filled with antique furniture, folk art, and lots of books and games. The kitchen and bathroom also retain their vintage vibe. A drop leaf desk and 100 mbps Wi-Fi provide a comfortable working space. Come in the spring or summer to see the garden in full bloom! (Photos included here do not do it justice...) The dappled shade of a grape covered pergola is a wonderful place for lunch. The house has two bedrooms that look out on the gardens. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Water in the house is delicious, purified well water. A 55" tv is in one of the bedrooms (disguised by a pull-down map). It has Roku but no cable. Enjoy lots of games and books to read, a piano in the living room and access to high speed internet and WiFi. Wander in the gardens or orchard in the back. Relax or dine under the shady grape arbor. The house is located in apple country, outside the small town of Sebastopol. It's very easy to find in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood across the street from a Christmas tree farm. Apple orchards and vineyards are within walking distance. The quaint town of Graton is half a mile away. It has an art gallery operated by local artists, an antique store and a variety of restaurants including the Underwood Bar and Bistro, rated as "number 4 of America's 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences by the Food and Wine Magazine." Enjoy several hiking trails close by, or drive on scenic country roads directly from the house to a variety of attractions. There is a gorgeous half-hour drive through the town of Occidental to the ocean. The Russian River Steelhead Beach is 5.6 miles away. Drive ten minutes farther to visit Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve where you can walk through a towering forest of trees that are hundreds of years old. Historic Healdsburg, with its central plaza, shops, restaurants and wineries is also a scenic 25 minute drive away. The 9-hole Sebastopol Golf Course is a little over a mile away. There is a variety of grocery stores in Sebastopol. My favorite is Andy's, a fruit and vegetable stand that also carries other food. It takes 3 minutes to drive there. This area was not impacted by the fires.

It has a great feel with live bands in the summer, and it's magical in the festive season. Choose from plenty of upscale restaurants. You can walk to the most prestigious shopping center - Westfield Mall - and grocery shop and pharmacy. Spa and restaurants and bar and shopping are only couple of feet away. Cozy Pied-à-Terre in Downtown Santa Cruz

Private apartment located in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz. Set back from the street with private entrance and bathroom. High, pine ceilings, natural light, and garden views. The beach is a few blocks in one direction and downtown cafes, restaurants, and shops around the corner. The apartment is best suited for two and guests can enjoy the sunny backyard as well. The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and cozy bedding. The TV room has a pull out sofa (sleeps one) and the sitting room has a daybed (sleeps one). The kitchen is well appointed for cooking or just enjoying a nice cup of coffee or tea. Please contact host if your group is over two. Special arrangements will need to be made and are subject to availability. Private entrance, access to the backyard. My schedule rarely allows me to meet guests when they arrive. Cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. are all within a few blocks proximity. Common walls allow sound to travel; practice being reasonably quiet in order for all guests to feel comfortable. Experience the great outdoors indoors in this rural bungalow, as seasoned leather and wood notes combine with mountain-themed decor. Outside, valley and High Sierra views stretch to the horizon. Sit quietly by the fire pit for a chance to spot deer. You feel as if your all alone and have private surroundings, yet so close to everything you may need. The house is open and inviting. Outside has an amazing fire pit with beautiful views with deer families traveling through the property often. It is a peaceful home and location yet so close to many incredible places to visit like Yosemite National Park. You have access to the whole house - garage excluded. Nestled among the trees, this home is close to the town of Oakhurst, where there are plenty of stores and places to eat. The home is a short drive from the entrance of Yosemite National Park. The home is very private. You cannot see neighboring homes. Public transportation is available to Fresno and to Madera from Oakhurst but not really in town. There is a company that will take you to Yosemite for an additional charge. New propane bottles are in the fire pit and bbq for your use. If they run out there will be a fee to fill them up again, $25 per bottle - please notify us if you do need a refill.
