Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

Maybelle the Tiny Cabin on 100 acres

Maybelle is an 8x18 cabin with a full-size loft bed, a Cubic Mini Woodstove (wood provided), Natures Head Composting Toilet and Jetsetter massaging hot tub. Kayaks, paddle board, & canoe included . Hiking trails (some solar lit) surround your cabin. Outside is a fire pit and a quick path to the water. Maybelle's kitchen has all the cooking essentials and there's a small propane grill outside & the fire pit for cooking. Cell reception is okay in the cabin, wifi is from a Starlink booster!

Easy commute East (30 minutes) to the coast and must see towns of Rockland, Rockport and Camden or West (30 minutes) to our capitol Augusta. One hour and forty minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

It offers a convenient base to sightseeing in midcoast Maine. It’s old-fashioned, decorated with plants, antiques and paintings and features a large, fully equipped kitchen, music room with piano, television room with pull-out sofa, full bath with stall shower and outside patio. SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

The Gallery Apartment

The Gallery apartment (3 night minimum) is a delightful spot for 2 or 3 visitors.. A Queen sized bed is in the bedroom and now a twin bed has been placed in the living area for separate sleeping. Spacious, bright, and airy, the apartment is above our home & my studio/gallery. The apartment is separate & includes its own entrance to ensure your privacy and convenience.
