Historic Discovery Bay Beach Cabin Stunning Views

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Located in a prime spot, our property is just minutes away from everything you could possibly need. Our downtown area is a mere 3-minute drive. Explore Edison and Salish Sea, or immerse in the charm of La Conner,-all within a pleasant 20-minute drive. For adventure enthusiasts, we have an abundance of options with our guest guide. Rest easy knowing that even the hospital is just a block and a half away from our property. Lastly, picture yourself gathered around our covered outdoor fire pit.

The island is also home to Camano Island State Park, which boasts 173 acres prime for camping, hiking and bird watching.

Riverclay Studio is hidden away in the alley just a few steps from the Skagit River. Edgewater Park and many popular restaurants, pubs, espresso and entertainment opportunities are within walking distance. It is reached by way of stairs from the back of the original Riverclay Studio which we once ran as a pottery and gallery and was once our home. Our address is also home to Skagit Valley Larder that operates in the downstairs level of the building.

The Granary is a recently converted 110 year old grain shed (remodeled Summer 2020). It features a full kitchen, vaulted ceilings, bedroom loft and beautiful .75 bath. Located on the West side of Mount Vernon, it is minutes from I-5, yet situated on a 40-acres of farmland, next to an original barn and behind the main farmhouse. Good WiFi for work, ramp access and a ground-level hide-a-bed. Large West-facing deck and hot tub to enjoy sunsets.
