We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

Wendels Acre is a rural property, our house and grounds is an acre of garden & 4 acres of land, running sheep. The studio has sea views and it's own private garden. The location is close to Mapua Village, Rabbit Island, Motueka, Great taste cycle trail (Nelson to Kaiteriteri), Kaiteriteri Mountain bike park, & Abel Tasman National Park. We have enhanced the plantings to encourage native birds which is a quiet, relaxing & tranquil area. We are a retired couple looking forward to hosting you.

We have a sculpture garden and gallery on site showcasing the work of David Carson and other artists. Free entry to our guests. An overnight stay you will alway remember! Relax in this unique above ground Hobbit House. Lovingly hand-built. Sleeps 2 to 4 (two double beds). Solar and battery-powered lights. Wood heat. Outside kitchen with cold water tap. Custom antique style ice box. Propane cooker. Barbeque. Shower with On-demand hot water. Composting toilet. Hobbit House is nestled on a lifestyle block in beautiful Pearse Valley with lovely rural outlook. 1 km walk to lovely waterfall. Close to trout fishing.

Harakeke Hill, near Motueka

Modern off-grid accommodation. Our power comes from panels powered by the sun. We have a back-up generator which runs if the batteries have had their power used. Wi-fi + the internet are easily accessible. We have solar heated hot water and we run all the usual household appliances. Two bedrooms: each with a king bed which can be split into two singles. *Please state which bed arrangement you will be needing* EV or PLUG IN HYBRIDS: it is not possible to charge these vehicles overnight.
