Wheatstone Studio

Our modern, architecturally designed detached studio is the perfect accommodation for couples or individuals looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

Nestled behind the sand dunes and with direct access onto Hukuwai Beach and Motu Dunes Trail - Hukuwai Beach Cottage is the perfect location for couples wanting to unwind with quiet beach walks and/or biking. Our modern luxury cottage is fully equipped with quality linen, furniture, and fittings. After a beach swim/walk, bike ride or surf you can cool off under the outside shower and relax in the courtyard/garden with a cold drink. Located on SH35 only 2 minutes' drive from Opotiki.

That persimmon place

Here in the far east are the first in the world to see the light of day. Known for our laid-back surf culture, superior Chardonnay and aromatic wines, fertile soils and abundance of local produce. This modern retreat offers the perfect balance of rural peace and coastal convenience, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and our very own persimmon orchard. A 7min (6.3km) drive to town beaches, a 6min (4.4km) drive to town and a 10min (6.3km) drive to the air port.

Longview Cottage - peace and quiet.

My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

Bush haven private studio

Surrounded by the bush, our unique cosy studio is a welcome retreat. Breakfast and good coffee is provided for our guests. Situated at the top of a hill with good views. We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. This is a great place to unwind and relax.

Gisborne Dream Suite

The guest suite in the front of our character bungalow is centrally located to Gisborne town with its local eateries and beautiful beaches. Easy walking distance to the Tairawhiti Museum and the Saturday Farmers Market. It has its own separate entrance for you to come and go freely as you explore the Tairawhiti Region. We have created this little haven for wanderers, travellers and whānau (families) who want to enjoy the East Coast.

Just a 5-minute walk to Wainui Beach and a short 5-minute drive to downtown Gisborne, you’ll have easy access to both Gissy’s most scenic beach and the city center. Whether you’re here for a relaxing beach break, a work trip, or a surf session, our cozy tiny house is the perfect base for your stay.
