Our property is situated just 0.8 mi from the Lake Marina, 0.4 mi from the swimming area, 2 mi from the Lodge Restaurant, and adjacent to hiking, biking, picnic areas and playground. Whether you are looking for peace and relaxation or prefer outdoor adventure the Lake Escape welcomes you.

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

A 15 minute drive takes you to Thomas, WV for food and art and music. Five more minutes and you are in Davis for Blackwater Falls State Park. A few more miles down the road find two alpine ski areas and White Grass Ski Touring Center.
