Its an easy 10 minute downhill stroll across the park (lovely for a sunset picnic) to historic Winchester.

Romantic 17th Century Paper Mill on The Meon River

Enchanting converted 17th Century Paper Mill over the River Meon in Warnford, Hampshire. Quirky interior with original Japanese features. Trout anglers will have a ball. There are swans, herons, kingfishers and mallards and, if you're really lucky, you might see an otter. As you can see from the photo, the Mill is just by our cottage, but we're not always there so often you'd have the whole garden to yourself. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

It is ideally placed to explore the South Downs National Park by foot, bike or car and to enjoy sporting and local events at Cowdray and Goodwood. Don't miss the various events be it - polo, golf, motor, horse racing or adventure within a 10 mile area. It is also well located for several local wedding venues.

Ideal base for exploring the Southdown National Park, Goodwood Estate and just a 10 minute drive to the cathedral city of Chichester. Arundel and Petworth are a short drive away. The beautiful Halnaker windmill walk is nearby. Please note that the cottage is not suitable for babies and children.
