The deserted Dookinella stone village still stands in the field nextdoor. Keel village is a 5-minute drive with restaurants, local butcher selling Achill lamb and fisherman selling from boat. Surf school for all ages. Fabulous walks begin right at the door from easy to mountain hikes. Good for couples and families. Good WiFi. Wheelchair accessible.

The Lookout has great views over Clew Bay & Clare Island Beautiful walks surround you. Croagh Patrick, Mweelrea, Famine walk (Doo Lough), Western way. Surf, Swim, Pier jump, SUP, at some of the beaches. Go Cycling on the Wild Atlantic way or The western Greenway. You might see some hares, a Pine Marten or at night the Barn Owl. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the west coast of Ireland. Looking out across the Atlantic Ocean at the Aran islands, gurteen beach and dogs bay beach. Hill climbing to the rear and beach walks to the front of the cottage, there are possibly few locations to compare with this cottage

This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town.
