Our handcrafted shepherds hut is set in its own idyllic secluded spot along the Mawddach estuary opposite the Cader Idris mountain range offering total peace and tranquillity. It has an open plan living space with a lovely cosy double bed a well equipped kitchen, table and chairs plus an en suite shower room. Outside there is a sitting area with a fire-pit/BBQ and steps which lead down to your own path onto the estuary foreshore from where you are welcome to explore our many acres of land.

Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, at the end of a farmers track below Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture, owned by the same family for over 60 years. Please read all the details carefully before you book. It’s a 300 year old cottage on the side of a mountain, space, fresh air and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. No TV or wifi, but a woodburner, books and massive views behind the cottage.

Just a few metres from the stunning Mawddach Trail, it is the ideal location for a wide range of outdoor activities such as hill walking, mountain biking, pony trekking and close to Fairbourne beach with its famous steam railway. It retains it's original oak beams but has a full width staircase for easy access between floors. On the ground floor It has an open lounge-diner with a sofa bed whilst upstairs is a separate double bedroom and bathroom/toilet. The cottage comes with it's own private gated parking space. It's placed within seconds of all town amenities.

Suitable for a couple and dog for a perfect little getaway. All bedding and towels included.
