Our cottage is set in the corner of a 100 acre mostly wooded tract in rural Floyd County. The site is open, but surrounded by mature trees. You will enjoy the quiet private setting. Our cottage is good for couples and small families. The Town of Floyd, six miles away, hosts restaurants, a coffee shop, and gift shops. The Floyd Country Store hosts the renowned Friday Night Jamboree featuring local bluegrass, while other restaurants host a variety of music on weekends and during the week.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) The Laurel Branch Cottage is charming and ideally located near the Town of Floyd and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cottage is surrounded by scenic family farms and near the West Fork of the Little River. Also, we are approximately 35 miles (45 min.) from Virginia Tech. The cottage includes a kitchen, bathroom, a living room with a pull-out sofa bed, bedroom with spacious closet and queen bed, and an upstairs bedroom (outside stair access only) with another full bed.
