Come stay in our new lovely above ground basement suite. We live above with our 3 young kids and noise should be expected between 8am-11pm. This probably isn't for you if you're looking for a serene, romantic getaway. It's comfortable, A/C, has a fabulous view, is centrally located for island adventures. Welcome to a few days of relaxing. You're at the beach in 5 minutes or just step out the door to the forest. Sleep in, order a pizza and play a board game by the cozy woodstove. Put on your best duds for a dinner date down by the ocean. Maybe a fire in the backyard with a cup of cocoa? Full bathroom and everything you need for a tea or coffee and light breakfast. Mini fridge and microwave. Please note there is no kitchen and we live on the property with our blue heeler.

Helliwell Bluffs

Curved boat like getaway adjacent and overlooking Helliwell Park, it's in the grassy oak grove meadowlands with spectacular open southern views, beach below. Featured in handmade builders of the Pacific Northwest. Stone, cedar, stainless steel, driftwood and sod. The house is best as getaway for 2 with occasional guests in separate bedrooms. all amenities plus a fireplace, heated stone floors and outside bathtub. Watch the storms or the full moon from the bedroom.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located place. This is a great kickoff spot for those looking to explore central, west, and north Vancouver Island. We are a few minutes walk to Sunny Beach Road, a favourite beach spot amongst locals. A cafe, pub, ice cream shop, and many nature trails are all just a short walk away. The cottage is equipped with a queen size bed. A fold out cot is available for a 3rd guest.
