Montclair Private Garden Studio

Quality, private room with bath in garden setting at our home in the Montclair Hills area of Oakland. Private entrance, quiet, safe, residential area. The room is detached from our house and has a kitchen area (no oven) with sink, cabinets, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker available. The bed is a queen size, regular bed (with box spring). There is a small refrigerator built into the wall just outside the room. Table, lounge chairs, etc. available for your use in the garden. We are happy to provide information, maps, etc. that may enhance your stay. We have been with Airbnb for a few years now, have earned "Superhost" status, have traveled a lot, have exchanged our home in the past, and enjoy providing a pleasant "home away from home" for our guests. We are located just up the hill from Montclair Village, where you can find grocery stores, retail shops and restaurants. There is easy access from here to all of the cultural and scenic attractions of San Francisco, Berkeley and the Napa-Sonoma wine country. As we are in the hills, it is a good idea to have a car. There is wifi in the room; cell phone reception is sometimes spotty, depending on your carrier. There is unrestricted street parking available in front of our home. You can reach downtown SF by car in about 25 minutes. If you want to travel by public transit, you can walk to the village and take a bus to San Francisco, or park your car at Rockridge BART station (less than 10 minutes from our home). Many guests have taken lyft/Uber from the house to BART station (cost bout $6-8). Our garden studio is in a great location, with easy access to all attractions of the area. It is beautiful space--perfect for someone looking for quality lodgings in a quiet, private setting. We hope you will give our beautiful garden studio a try.

Linger over a coffee in the zen, vine-covered courtyard at this secluded cottage nestled in the back of a period property in Berkeley. Crisp white sheets, craftsman furniture, and painted wooden cladding make for a sophisticated yet rustic haven. The main room is cozy with a big skylight, comfortable queen bed, swivel chair, and desk and chair. There is a small kitchenette. Redwood Sanctuary is located in the idyllic Oakland Hills with beautiful vistas, hikes, and parks within a short drive. The home is situated on half an acre of land in the middle of redwood, eucalyptus, and oak trees secluded away from other homes. Montclair village is an 8 minute drive, providing lots of great food and shops. Minutes from Highway 13 and 580. It is a 1 bedroom studio with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed. It can comfortably accommodate up to 3. We'd love to host your stay!

Claremont Hills Haven!

Stunning, new in-law unit perched above the Claremont Hotel pools. Easy walk to Peet's, Fournée, Rick & Ann's, East Bay Provisions and Limewood. Features: queen bed with Ritz-Carlton featherbed, washer/dryer, stove/oven, mini-fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, microwave, flat-screen TV, fast wi-fi (up to 1 gig), dining table, small desk, bistro table outside with views overlooking the hotel pool and Oakland and partial views of the San Francisco. One dedicated parking space for 1 car (no RVs etc.).

Rockridge Garden Cottage

The cottage is newly remodeled as of March 2022 and now has its own kitchen and bathroom. It is a separate unit in my backyard with vaulted ceilings which gives a spacious feel and french doors that open onto the lush garden. Queen size high end natural organic fiber bed (Earthsake.com), with down comforter + 4 pillows. Dining table and stools. LCD TV, clothes valet, work desk and great internet. Its very quiet and my guests seem to love having a private retreat type space to themselves.

Lots of storage within one of the most quite settings you will find. We made a thoughtful attempt to load the unit with everything u might need while away. The kitchen is functional to the point that you could actually cook a Thanksgiving dinner, multiple frying pans to crock pots a blender or chefs knives. Bathroom sundries abound!

Walk to Lake Temescal and Montclair Village. Easy, quick access to Hwys 13 and 24. Short drive to UC Berkeley, Mills College and California College of the Arts, the Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto, and Oaklands many fine restaurants. Some small dogs accepted, no large dogs, and no cats due to allergies.
