Today yurts are built on a platform & consist of two thick layers of canvas with a layer of insulation in between, and most notably a domed skylight at their center. 5 mins to Alpine, 30 mins to Fort Davis, Marfa, and Marathon. Located just 10 minutes from Big Bend National Park in the ghost town of Terlingua, Texas. Built by miners a hundred years ago, the cabin has been comfortably updated while keeping its authentic feel. Its spacious porch affords the best view of the mountains of Big Bend National Park as well as the stars at night. Although it has an indoor bedroom and bathroom, guests love the outdoor shower as well as the open air bed on the patio.
