Tongariro Crossing, Mt Ruapehu Skifield, Turangi Adventure Tourism, hotpools, great bush walks and trout fishing are all within close proximity. Admire lake views and listen to birdsong from the treetops. Enjoy barista style coffee, grab a book and simply relax and enjoy the views from the expansive deck. At night, why not barbecue with drinks on the deck or in the winter, enjoy the ambience of the warm fire!

A 5mins drive from town or the lake or a 15mins walk to either. The entire home and garden are yours to enjoy. “WOW, the view - the photos don’t do it justice” say guests on arrival, and it’s true. The view will take your breath away day and night. Only a few hundred metres walk to Acacia Bay Beach to swim (or fish for trout) in the super clean freshwater lake. Oh, and the peace and quiet from this side of the lake. The cottage is modern, comfortable, & fully self-contained inc WM, drier and laundry powder. Only 7km to Taupo town centre so close enough to experience all Taupo township has to offer.

Lochwood is a light, spacious and warm retreat. Scandi, homely decor. A home-away-from home with a well-equipped kitchen, espresso machine, and tea and coffee facilities. A reserve and playground are across the road with a tennis court and basketball hoop 2 minutes walk away. The Motuoapa Marina and Liquorice cafe are nearby. Excellent access to Lake Taupo, Tongariro crossing, Whakapapa skifield, Tongariro River track and bike tracks, the western bays, thermal pools and Lake Rotopounamu.

Great location, great shower, great beds!

I’m so happy to be able to share my wonderful home with others and supplement my pension 😀 The AirBnb rooms are separate from my part of the home. There’s 2 rooms and a bathroom. The bedroom has a queen double bed. The lounge has a king double bed and couch with a tv, a microwave, toaster, jug and fridge. It is quite roomy 6x4 mtrs. There is a small step up to the shower so take care coming out of it. You will enjoy beautiful Taupo. 😎
