Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

Φωλιασμένο μέσα στη γαλήνια αγκαλιά της υπαίθρου, υπάρχει ένα πραγματικά μαγευτικό σπίτι -παλιότερα ήταν καφενείο στην καρδιά του χωριού. Η ομορφιά του είναι χαρακτηριστική , σαν ένας πίνακας που ζωντανεύει. Η εστία αποπνέει μια διαχρονική γοητεία που σας μεταφέρει σε έναν κόσμο ηρεμίας.Για όσους αναζητούν ανάπαυλα από τον πολύβουο κόσμο, αυτό το σπίτι στο χωριό είναι ένα καταφύγιο παρηγοριάς. Κάθε γωνιά ψιθυρίζει τις ιστορίες της χαράς, του γέλιου και των αγαπημένων στιγμών που έχουμε περάσει.

Elaiodentron eco House

(Eleó–then–dron) comes from the classical Greek word for the olive tree. A modern eco-friendly stone-built retreat, set in a private olive grove using regenerative farming, just 2 km from the sea, surrounded by olives, pines and cedars, with views of Ha Gorge. The area is known for its natural beauty, biodiversity, hiking trails, gastronomy and rich archaeological heritage. The house is easily accessible, with nearby towns like Ierapetra and Agios Nikolaos, traditional villages and many beaches.

The Kritsa gorge is a highlight (about 10km) .Just 15' minutes driving to the city of Agios Nikolaos, and 10' minutes driving to another traditional village Kroustas.Enjoy the simple things!
