LHOTP (Lil House On The Prairie)

Lil House On The Prairie (LHOTP) is aptly named because it’s located on the edge of Nachusa Grassland’s 1,000 acre south Bison pasture. The 100+ herd of free ranging Bison can often be viewed right along the boundary fence to the west! This recently remodeled two bedroom cottage can sleep six with two queen size beds and with a pull out sofa bed. LHOTP offers a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to base your adventures from. A recently renovated Cottage, nestled in the heart of the small, quaint town of Arthur. Located next to the Arthur Park. Enjoy the clip clop of the horse & buggies going by as you relax out front on a swing, or enjoy the back porch with table & seating as you enjoy the perennial garden out back. Plenty of back yard for playing games. A fire pit is located close to porch for roasting marshmallows at night. Arthur is a very innovative town with lots of shops to explore.

The Historic Garfield Inn

We are in walking distance to downtown Belleville, and free parking is available. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There is a barbeque grill, covered back patio, gazebo and lovely gardens.
