Are you looking for a relaxing lakefront getaway with beautiful sunset views over the lake? If so, our comfy fishing cottage on Leach Lake in Hastings is for you! The cottage is a short drive north of downtown Hastings, which has been rated one of the best small towns in America by Norman Crampton, author of "The 100 Best Small Towns in America." Leach Lake is an all-sports lake with excellent fishing. The cottage is equipped with paddle boards, kayaks, a canoe, and a row boat for your trip.

Hidden in the woods

Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two. This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We have lots of chickens, curious cats and a couple of friendly goats. We are often outside working or playing, but the apartment is very private once you are upstairs!! There is NO WiFi here. There IS a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of movies, and fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.

The Garden Suite provides 1 queen Murphy bed in the living room, 1 full in the bedroom, and 3 fold-out mattresses. The suite features a full kitchen, dining table, massage chair, sitting area, and a roll-top desk.* Soak up the sun poolside (mid May - September), spend evenings around the bonfire, visit the farm animals, walk in the woods, or explore your artistic side in our art studio. *We will be replacing the carpet with tile at the end of the summer due to wear and tear.

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.
