The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

We live on 6.5 acres and are a great base to explore all that Bendigo has to offer; the Art Gallery, Capital and Ulumbarra theatres, Central Deborah Mine, the popular Markets, Music/Food/Wine/Beer festivals and the many great cafes and fine dining options including award winning "Masons" and "The Woodhouse" We live opposite the Bendigo Regional Park which boasts many mountain bike tracks and are also in close proximity to some local wineries.

Myrtle Creek Cottage

Down a country lane on the banks of Myrtle Creek and opposite the old red brick church, this completly private and self sufficient cottage attached to the main house is set in quiet paddocks where old red gums cast deep shade. Built in 2024 as an extension to our sustainable house, there is a stylish full kitchen and bathroom. A couple of Golden Retrievers are love and affection on legs and walks in the granite country are special. Or you can head to Bendigo, Castlemaine or local wineries

Blue Wren Cottage, Corop

This beautiful old cottage's original features and calming decor will make you feel relaxed as soon as you enter through the door. Set on 5 acres with beautiful gardens you can just relax or go for a quiet wander at your own leisure... Greens Lake is only a 5 minute drive away so bring your kayak, boat or fishing rod... 30 minute drive from Heathcote and 35 minutes away from beautiful historic Echuca. Use of the swimming pool during summer months. Hosts Glenda & Phil will welcome you.

The iconic Rifle Brigade is next door offering great food and superb local wines. The Capital Theatre is on your door step literally across the road, as is The Bendigo Art Gallery, which has had some amazing events like ELVIS & Grace Kelly. Located in a native garden with fruit trees and a veggie garden, within 10 minutes of Bendigo. Relax by the firepit and enjoy a BBQ and beer or walk over the road to Farmers Arms Hotel for a meal. We have ample room for a large vehicle, truck or trailer. The O'Keefe Rail Trail for hiking and mountain biking is a 2-minute ride. Close to Heathcote wineries and the attractions of Central Victoria.

A private self-contained guest house, The Loft is a hidden treasure set in the gardens of an historic Bendigo home. Very centrally situated in the Bendigo Arts Precinct, approximately 5 minutes walk to the Bendigo Art Gallery. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes, theatres, galleries and shopping.
