There is an outhouse with a propane heated shower. Not for light sleepers! The train comes by a couple of times a night.

While you will find everything needed for a comfortable stay (full bed, outhouse with flushing toilet, outdoor shower, stove, dishes, fridge, cookware), be aware that a yurt is a glorified tent with doors that lock. Welcome to the Glacier Mountain Retreat guest house! Come enjoy this getaway one mile from the Amtrak train station in East Glacier Park and five miles from the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park. Our guest house is located adjacent to the main home on 3 quiet wooded acres that we share with the occasional bear or moose. Your privacy is our utmost concern and the main house is our primary residence and not rented.

Red Fox cabin is 5 miles from the Many Glacier entrance, 8 miles from Going to the Sun road entrance and only 19 miles from the United States/Canada Border leading to Waterton Lakes National Park. There are restaurants and convenience stores in the valley as well. The Red Fox cabin is the ideal rental for your vacation to Glacier National Park! Reservations for Red Fox cabin open for reservations beginning June 1, 2026.

The Glacier Yurt

This 12’ yurt is the perfect romantic getaway for nature loving folks. The sky light lets in the starlight and moonlight that’s so spectacular in Montana. It’s cozy, comfy and in very close proximity to the Commons/bath house. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings.
