You can walk to Porthallow from Menifters via a footpath which takes about 25 minutes. Further afield is Helford (4.5 miles) – an idylic village on the Helford river.

There is a gentle 10-15 minute walk through woodland to the nearest beach, which is on the South West Coast Path, and it is possible to walk to Falmouth or Helford Passage along the coast.
