Originally built as The Buckley Hotel, this historic building has been brought back to life. While retaining the features that makes this home so beautiful and reflective of its time, we have brought in modern amenities that insure a comfortable stay while in the heart of Excelsior Springs. Payne Jailhouse Bed and Breakfast Guest House

Our property was once owned by Bill Payne, Chief of Police from 1926-1950. Bill decided in the early 40's to add on to the back of the residence to facilitate keeping those incarcerated overnight. That space is now our kitchen. Our Guest House sits directly behind that kitchen and once was the garage for the police car.
