Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials.

Located in the heart of the former Black Bear Lodge on Little St. Germain lake. Spend your days relaxing on the beach, swimming in clear, sandy water, or park your boat on the dedicated slip to enjoy one of the best recreational lakes in the area. Wind your evenings down enjoying the sunset at the fire pit, or watching the stars!

The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

Home has a wrap around deck with outdoor furniture to enjoy a mouth-watering grilled meal as you admire pristine lake views. Make sure to buy some s'mores to roast in the fire pit.

When you think Northern WI cabin stay, this is exactly what they should be. Small 700 square foot cabin sitting on the Moen Lake Chain just a few miles east of Rhinelander. Easy access via blacktop road that takes you right to the place. It offers 56 ft of water frontage. A small public boat landing right in front, makes it easy to get on and off the water. A new dock to tie it up for the evening on those summer stays, and drive out (at own risk) on the ice for those winter months.
