Royal Roads University is only a 15 min bike ride away. The evenings are so peaceful here. During the day you hear the neighboring sounds sometimes but still peaceful most of the time. SuiteVista was just renovated. SuiteVista has its own laundry room and an electric fireplace. WiFi, Cable and Parking included.

Launching your kayak, SUP or just a nice dip is only 5 mins walk. If you don't mind a drive there are also many provincial parks nearby for hiking.

Lake Cowichan Home on the River

Take a break in Lake Cowichan. Stay in this charming suite, on the river and within walking distance of the town centre. The suite has two extra-long twin beds which can be put together to form a king-size bed. The kitchen has everything you need, with a microwave convection oven and double steamer substituting for a stove. The little bathroom is perfect for after-swim showers, etc.. A frozen muffin for breakfast will be resentful supplied upon request to meet the town legal requirements.

A hop skip and a jump away from Shawnigan Lake and the Kinsol Trestle, our 200sq ft cozy dwelling is located in a quiet neighborhood, with many hiking and mountain biking trails near by. The room has a double bed with a pull out couch and extra bedding if needed. Brought a bottle of wine? Pop it in the mini fridge! The coffee maker is ready for your peaceful morning. Private entrance with a small area to sit out front. Want to have a fire? No problem. Fire pit is ready to go.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located place. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Sturdies Bay terminal, come and unwind in this newly renovated, cozy, home away from home. Nestled in the trees, you'll find nothing but peace and tranquility, located a few minutes walk from the famous Kinsol Trestle & the Trans Canada Trail; a haven for hikers, mountain bikers & outdoor enthusiasts of every kind. We are a 5 minute drive from West Shawnigan Lake Park (lake access) and an 8 minute drive from Masons Beach / Shawnigan village, and a 50 minute drive from Victoria.

Our bright and sunny, south facing, west coast villa is perched on Mt. Holmes, towering above the quaint town of Youbou and overlooking the spectacular Cowichan Lake. The home has a large open plan living, dining and chef’s kitchen. Sliding doors throughout offer access to your huge wrap around deck with large private hot tub, large private swimming pool area, sun loungers/hammocks, conversation sets, outdoor dining & BBQ.

Mid-island, this rustic cabin is perfect for any couple (or small group) shacking up in the woods. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that there is wi-fi at the cabin but no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.
