The village is situated at an intersection of the Kerry Way walking trail and the world famous Ring of Kerry motorists’ route. It is a charming location, cosily resting at the bottom of the Curragh and Seefin Mountains. It is probably best known for its golden blue flag unspoilt Rossbeigh Beach which lies 1.5 km from the village.

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!
