It can be reached from Moll's Gap (3km), 17km from the Gap of Dunloe, 25km from Carrauntoohil, and 13km from Kenmare, the nearest town, where you'll find pubs and restaurants. It also adjoins Killarney Park and The Ring of Kerry. The wagon is a good place to escape to. Lie in bed in the morning, read your book, hear the birds sing, see the sun peeking over the mountain. On a fine evening, you can light a fire. You might see a fox, you might see a deer or a hare. One time I saw a red squirrel playing in the Oak tree. Bring your sketch pad, your journal, your knitting. This is a place to rest and recuperate. It’s also a good stop off for people walking the Beara Way.

Our house is ideally located as a Base as it it on a direct bus route to Cork city 15 mins away. We are 5 mins walk from the centre of the town of Carrigaline. We are 5 min drive from the famous sailing village of Crosshaven home of the oldest sailing club in the world. We are approximately 20 mins drive from Kinsale which is a real tourist attraction. There are lots of interesting sighseening attractions within easy reach of our house.
