We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

We offer private parking for up to 4 cars and 3 outdoor seating areas. The property has 3 double bedrooms, one house bathroom with a bath & shower & one bathroom with walk in shower. The kitchen, dining & living ares are open plan, ideal for socialising. The property also has WiFi & Sky TV, a wood burning stove and an outdoor fire pit and BBQ.

Drakes Cottage

Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.

A delightful fully equipped first floor apartment for two. (A babe in arms is welcome) 1 small pet allowed The apartment is a minute walk to all the amenities of Cartmel which includes the Race course and the famous Michelin starred Restaurants. We are just far enough from the villiage centre to be peaceful and relaxing. Tea and coffee is provided together with a welcoming drink. We also provide a free permit for on street Parking just outside the front door.

This is a cosy and inviting space where you can gather around the wood-burner to enjoy the company of your friends and family.

Perfectly located to access The Lakes and the medieval village of Cartmel. Cosy log stove, Wifi and private car park.
