Originally a coach house "Avoca", is over one hundred years old. Nowadays, it offers a homely and comfortable base from which to enjoy a peaceful, "old worldly" break away in West Clare. Situated in Carraigaholt village on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way ,"Avoca" is a stones throw from pubs, restaurants, shops, and beach. Proximity to Loop Head makes for a cyclists haven, whilst a variety of walks - beach, countryside and cliffs abound. "Avoca" offers a unique experience of Irish rural life.

The Boat House with beach access

Dubbed "The Boat House", the building was previously used for housing boating equipment until being converted into a cosy seafront home in 2022. It’s very well situated as a base from which to tour, 20 mins to loop head, 40 mins to Tarbert Ferry to Kerry, approx 60 mins to The Cliffs of Moher.

The cottage sits snugly at Curraghmore Farm in the Black Valley, surrounded by the breathtaking MacGillycuddys Reeks. It was fully refurbished in the last couple of years & is furnished in a very atmospheric, fresh & light manner. Wander along The Kerry Way - one of Ireland’s longest & most famous walking trail, hike Ireland's highest mountain Carrauntoohil. Its unique very remote location is a perfect spot to watch the clouds pass overhead & the sheep “baa” in the field.
