Our property offers a true backcountry experience, so please know that while our trails are maintained, guests should expect natural terrain and a more rugged experience than what you would experience at a state park.

On 60 acres, lots of dirt roads, and a rough rocky dry creek to explore. hummingbirds, jack rabbits, deer to keep you amused. Several clear cool swimming holes on the Nueces River just minutes away. Hot tub. Burn ban on most of time(drought) ,please ask No smoking in cabin!

Take a road trip to the Frio River in Concan, hike in Garner And Lost Maples State Parks, or just relax in the AC while playing board games.

Nueces River House

Relax at this wonderful peaceful place with the family. The river is accessible from the house by ladder. Great fishing from the backyard! There is a spacious yard and beautiful trees. The porch is a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy the view. Internet is available but be aware it is a rural speed, not fast city speed. The house is 5 miles from Camp Wood which has restaurants and stores. A park is a short way away with benches, covers, another place to fish and to launch a kayak.

Getaway Cabin w/ access to Nueces River

A quiet family friendly getaway perfect to unwind, relax, bird watch and disconnect from everyday life. Wi-fi is not available. Sleeps up to six people. Bottom level has a full size bed, full bath, fully stocked kitchen,stove, full size refrigerator, coffee bar, screened in porch. One bathroom inside and half bath outside. Located 16 miles N. of Uvalde, bumpy entrance road is 1.2 miles N. of Chalk Bluff. Park. The cabin is 1/4 mile, walking distance to the clear, beautiful Nueces River.
