Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Ben View Studio: Peaceful Trossachs Retreat

This delightful holiday studio in the Trossachs National Park is an ideal warm, cosy and comfortable base from which to explore the area. Located in the peaceful hamlet of Brig O'Turk, it is nestled between two beautiful lochs. From the double bed, guests can enjoy the nights sky through the velux windows. With so little light pollution, it’s amazing! There is a well equipped kitchen, a lounge/dining area with TV and a separate bathroom. Its a tranquil private space with good Wifi and a garden.

Greenshadows - a detached 16th-century Scottish cottage fronting River Leny with views of Ben Ledi in the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The house has a rich history. Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. Of note is William Turner’s painting of Ben Ledi from Kilmahog Bridge (on display at the Tate Gallery) just a few hundred metres away.

The island is easily accessible by the nearby Calmac passenger ferry from Gallanach, near the mainland town of Oban.

The Skipper's Hut, Balquhidder

The Skipper’s Hut is located in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, in the beautiful Braes of Balquhidder. It sits on a wooded knoll overlooking Loch Voil. In earlier times, the hut was used by the skipper of the estate’s electric launch for trips on special occasions.
