Just Beyond Utopia is a charming cottage located on a 12 acre wooded estate just three miles from the heart of downtown Asheville. The estate has gardens, forests, and a Swiss Family Robinson style tree-houses with a fire pit to relax and socialize with friends and family. The cottage has a queen bed, bathroom with a shower, full kitchen, and a ladder to climb to a cozy loft, perfect for younger family members with 2 twin beds. It is truly the perfect location for families or romantic getaways!

When I built our barn a while back Airbnb didn't even exist and we were excited to be starting a goat dairy . Now the kitchen sits where we used to milk our sweet goats by hand! We are happy to offer our guests a unique living space located in the heart of the mountains, 30 minutes from Asheville. You are welcome to roam our 28 acres on our trail system, swim in the pond, and decompress from your daily routine. Cell service is limited but we have Fiber Optic Wifi for calling & streaming.

The hayloft above our barn is now a beautiful studio apartment with an incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Open up the French doors and enjoy the fresh air while watching the clouds settle in the valley. Give the horses some carrots and nose rubs or feed the chickens some bread. Enjoy fresh eggs for breakfast (when available) in the full kitchen and take in the peace and quiet of the mountains while still being only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and Black Mountain.

Enjoy a taste of botanical living. Flora Forest & Field is 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and only miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. On the property we run a floral design studio, a tropical plant greenhouse, and are working hard to grow as many natives and perennials as we can with a focus on sustainability. This 1960's dairy barn has been renovated to house our design studio, the 2 bedroom apartment and a space to host dinners and classes.
