We welcome you to stay in our guest house: A renewed log cabin on three acres at BV's western edge. This quiet, in-town location is a good base for Arkansas Valley activities. A few miles east of us is Cottonwood Pass with hot springs, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. Or, bike or walk a mile to the east for restaurants and shopping, the Arkansas River and Fourmile trail complex beyond. Note: There are many pet-friendly options nearby, but we do our best to provide an allergen-free studio for guests.

This affordable option was originally built as railroad worker housing, and I bought it as a raft guide/teacher over 15 years ago, and used it as my first home and base for adventure. The Sundog House is located under 3/4 of a mile from downtown Buena Vista. A lovely walking distance to town. The Sundog home is spacious and comfortable with playful decor. A dog door and fully fenced yard with plenty of shade make this a great getaway with your doggo! There is a 4 person hot tub just off of the back deck with outdoor seating and a grill. We pay our cleaners the entire cleaning fee to ensure that the house is spotless and perfect for your stay!
