There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. We offer a king-size double bed, satellite TV and WIFI, your own bathroom too with great water pressure and piping hot water. Plus your own downstairs sitting/dining room .

Luxurious B&B on a traditional working farm.

Set on the Dales Way, in the heart of the Lake District National Park lies Cragg House Farm. This working family farm now doubles up as a luxurious 2 room B&B. Run by Liz, alongside my husband Edward who manages the farm. Cragg House over looks acres of land occupied by livestock and panoramic views of the fells. The tranquil farm is only two miles outside of Bowness-on-Windermere. There are great local pubs and eateries and walks. There is even a golf course less than half a mile away.

Riverside Self-catering Apartment

Riverside is a very spacious, self-catering studio apartment. It is suitable for two or three people. A large open-plan room, Riverside boasts a solid oak, king size bed and a solid oak, single sofa bed. An amply equipped mini-kitchen with pine table and chairs completes the comfortable living area. The kitchen has a two ring hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The extremely spacious en-suite bathroom enjoys a roll-top bath and a separate, walk-in rainforest shower.

The Bridal Suite - Ashlack Hall

Ashlack Hall lies at the head of a valley, which runs westward to the Duddon Estuary in SW Cumbria. A grade 2 listed Manor House, built in the 17th century, with plenty of eccentricity and old world charm. We are both experienced chefs and love to share the joy of our home grown & reared produce with our guests. We offer breakfast every morning at an additional £15/person and our 6 course small plates menu on Friday & Saturday evenings for £65/person.

The house is situated on a quiet cul de sac in Kendal, a 10/15 min walk from the mainline train station, Oxenholme Station, and a 20-25 minute walk into town. The bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite private shower room. We are close to the hospital, ideal if need somewhere to stay if you are working there for a week or two. Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.

Lovely Lake District rural retreat

My home is on a small, Lakeland farm set up on a hillside with wonderful views down to the Duddon estuary. You could be woken by the song of a blackbird or robin or the cockerel; otherwise, it's a wonderfully quiet, peaceful spot. The hens and cats hang out in the yard, various sheep breeds, four ponies, and a scattering of cows populate the fields, and beyond that a gate opens onto the hills.
