Windyheads Bothy is set on a gentle hillside overlooking rolling farmland, met by the sea and sky, you’re sure to be taken aback by the views. With a long, private, single-lane approach through the pastures of old, this rustic yet modern cottage with stone walls, jacuzzi bath, and underfloor-heated stone floors will be sure to give you the Scottish rural welcome you’re after. There’s a 8 seater log fired Hot Tub and a 6 person Sauna, both of which can be rented for the duration of your stay.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

It’s the perfect location to explore both the East & West side of the Cairngorms National Park and to enjoy lots of activities such as biking, wildlife watching, snowsports, fishing & watersports and, we are right on the edge of the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Dark Sky Park - perfect for stargazing!

Kellas Lodge

The Gate Lodge, four star rated, is located at the entrance to Kellas House. A comfortable lodge offering a large sitting room with fireplace, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and comes with your own private hot tub. Please note there is a surcharge of GBP 8 per day per pet this can be paid cash to us. If your stay is longer than 5 nights you can use our laundry facility located at Kellas House (3 min. walk) please ask about this on your arrival if you like to use this facility.

Relax at our peaceful, well-equipped and comfortable Cottage. Cottage has outside dining table and chairs , fire pit , logs and log burning stove inside. We provide complimentary logs for both . Bike storage with charging. A short, safe walk into Aboyne. Aboyne Loch, old Railway line and Aboyne Golf Course are across the road, which makes for an active or totally relaxed holiday. Easy car drive North to Ballater and Braemar or on the regular buses, which stop at road end .

The Lochan is a beautiful two bedroomed Lodge , located next to a private Lochan. property set in its own private one acre garden area. It is a new build completed in 2021. It is fully furnished , has two bedrooms , one has en suite, full bathroom including separate shower, underfloor heating in bathrooms, wood burner in an open plan kitchen, dining lounge . Outside it is next to a Lochan with its own 45metre decking, secluded garden along with parking adjacent.

Bailies Cottage is a traditional, fully furnished and recently renovated Highland farm cottage set within the grounds and gardens of Mayen Estate in the Deveron Valley sleeping up to six people. The spaciously well appointed family kitchen sits in the heart of the property, while the living room is cosily finished off with a wood burning stove. With panoramic country views, the enclosed garden features a wood burning hot tub and barbeque.
